YWCA Madison Avenue Branch

The 4 story building is clad in red brick and has a mansard roof.

The second YWCA building in West Baltimore remains standing and is a condominium.

YMCA Druid Hill Branch

The 4 story building is clad in red brick and shows the 2 entrances to the building.

The Y.M.C.A. Druid Hill Branch stands on the east side of Druid Hill Avenue in central Baltimore.  It was constructed in 1916 after the Baltimore Y.M.C.A. received a $25,000 grant from Julius Rosenwald and the African American community in Baltimore raised the additional $75,000 needed to complete the building.  The photo shows the west facade of the 4-story building.
