Farther Mother Sister and brother I thought that I would wright a few lines to lett you that I am well and hop that these few lines will find you the saim I am 3 Coprill of Co. B whille we stay on the Island I am but Coprill of the third releaf to night so you see that I hav to sett up to night two hours and sleep 4 My releaf is on now that is 10 men on gard and I am the / Coprall I hav 10 men in a camp and they hav to do as I tell them they like me first rait so you see that I dont hav any trouball with them the captin put me in Coprall day befor yestday I went up to his tent and played on the bango and I dont no but that was what maid him put me in coprill and I went up to night and hav got to my tent and thought that I would wright / a few lines to let you no that I was on the Island yet and are likely to stay this winter but if there are any of you very sick I can git a furlow so if you want me to comb homb you can wright that some of you are very sick and I can git a furlow but any other way I cant ther was tow boys got a furlow they had a letter that said that their folks was very sick
But I guess that their folks was not very sick
