Benjamin Carr Harvey
Benjamin Carr Harvey was born on September 4, 1848, in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, to Orange and Martha Harvey. He grew up and attended school in St. Johnsbury. By 1870, he was working in a “scale shop” in St. Johnsbury, and he owned $400 of real estate and $150 of personal property. He moved to Springfield, Massachusetts, in the 1870s. He married Adah L. Larned on July 20, 1881, and they had no children. He died of “chronic interstitial nephritis” in Springfield on August 22, 1902.
