Friends at homb I reseved your kind letter last night and was glad to hear from you and to hear that you was well my health is pretty good now awl but my hand that is pretty soar I some expect to git a furlough or transfurd to Boston some timb next week you must not loeck for me any till you no that I am coming I cant wright much now it was a hard fight with us but / thanck god that I did not git kiled the bullits flue thick and fast but we had to stan ther at any rait our regt got cut ub very hard in the fight if I git a furlough I thinck that I shall git paid 2 months pay I am a bout 80 miles from Newyork now it is a very pretty place but I should rather be in my own state now I may not stop hear any longer then this week so good by this from W W Harvey
