My Dear Mother
We recd your welcomed letter and were very glad indeed to hear from you I dont think we should hear from home very often if it was not for your writing but I suppose Father has been very buisy since I was there. I wish we could go up this fall to see you but you know that my work has been dull and if you are well prehaps it would not be best for us to attempt the trip I hope it will be so / that Ira and familey can go for they talk about it and want to very much. They are going to moove back to Springfield as soon as they can find a tenement that suits them. I think it is the best thing they can do for they dont like up there and then it is to much for Ira after working ten hours to travel so far. Ira said after mooving he did not know as he could go up home. Well Mother how do things go up with you I hope you will write me all about it tell me how you get along we are about as usual although Adah is suffering / from the efects of a very bad cold I have been feeling better for the past month than for a long time before I was entirely cured from my cough and have not had a headacke since I comenced my hot water cure
