it is with plasair that I wright to you to lett you no that I am wel and hop that these few lines will find you the saim it a bout 11 oclock Im sitting up for the artilliry ar agoing to start for washington at one o Clock at night and so you must not wright to me untill you hear from me again My knapsack is awl packed redy to start at any minuats / warning the captain said to be ready to start any minaat and we ar a setting up expectain to start any minaat so good by for this timb this from your son W W Harvey
 
When you wright to me tell me a bout that money my bounty it was sent to the trasury till now whather you got it or not /
 
Beny when you send me that box send me alot of wright paper and envlops the smalist that you can git dont git larg for I want smal
