itt was with much plasure that I wright to you to lett you no that I hav got your kind letter and hav gott my banjo awl right you must not wory a bout me for I am a coming homb inn a bout 3 months and then is awl that I ask of the goverment Benn you must enlist to go to Mexico for I tell you that you dont no any thing a bout soldiering it is more than you cann stann for you are not tough enough to stan it and I guess that you cann do better att homb than you cann do to mexico it is a long wais / thair and it is a hard thing to under take to cross the water I shall not undertake to go untill I gitt homb you wanted me to send homb my blankett and over coat but I will fetch it when I comb and that wont be more than 3 months I wroat to Ira and gott a answer and gott a letter from mary 2 or 3 days a go I am a going to see Willie Liddle this week if I cann and I guess that I cann
