Friends att homb it is with much plasure that I wright to you to lett you no that I am well and hope that these few lines will find you the saim I am in hops to bee able to see you inn the coars of 3 or foar months but good corage and that is awl I want to gitt homb we thinck that they will gitt sick of keeping our Batlion long but dont no thair is not any news to wright this timb I am tough as a bair this summer and am good corage I dont feal like wrighting much I hav not had a letter from homb for a long timb sinc we moved to this place that has benn a bout 3 weeks wright soon and awl of the news I wish that you would send me a little money a bout 5 dollars if you cann thair is no sins of gitting paid and I am in nead of money now if ever it has benn a long timb sinc I had any money and now wright soon and / I had a letter from Charlie Gaskil and he is discharged that is they way thay surv the menn that comb for 3 years and hav hav to fight hard and a man that came for 1 year and see a gunn fird cann go homb most any timb so good by wright soon
