Friends at homb it is with much plasure that I seat my self to wright to you I am very ancious to no if you got my money that I sent to you it was one hundrad dollars I cepp 15 and had to pay 11 for I oad it and now I hav none and if you hav got it if you will send me 5 dollars I should like it much for we by stuff to the comasary mother when I git in to winter quaters I want you to send me a box for I am most starved on hard tack and I want a gallon of plum presurvs them would go good and some of the pics that is what am / the mater Benn you send me a pair of glovs like them that you had only hav them lined with fur to put on my soar hand for the wether is cold send them by mail as soon as you git this and send me some pins and a paper of neadles and a little thread that awl a bout the army you no as well as I do our lines ar 40 miles long now we hav adanced on the left 1 mild this week and on the right I dont no we ar in the center now evry thing is still hear
