Friends at homb it is with much plasure that I wright to you to answer your very kind letter that I got last night  you said that you wanted to send my box and now it is saif and you must send it very soon for we may moov to washington we cant tell what may hapen and now start it very soon the next day after you git this there is not any news I wroat to mary and told her to send the letter to you I wroat for awl that I wanted in / in her letter and now dont delay any on the box if you do I may not git it for a good while ower Coar is laying to the rear now for to build winter quaters we may stop hear awl winter and may not stop a month and a box will comb strait to my regament now I dont no any news to wright now I am well at present I am waighting for my box dont forgit my 2 quart pail of plum presirvs for I am a going to hav a big diner when it gits hear if I am well and I guess that  / there is no danger of it I cant wright any more this timb send 4 or 5 pound of butter some twisted donuts sweetened for they would tast good I could eat 10 quarts to night for super I must close for it is timb for mail to go and then I will eat som pork and hard tack send the box to morow so good by this from W W Harvey
