Dear Mother
Parker has kindly left a little spare for me I gladly improve it. My health is not very good I feel most worn out taking care of Josephine who has been quite sick We hope she is on the mend now.

We should be very glad to have you come and visit us Why not come? We have very comfortable rooms / and will do our best to give you a good visit. The people here I like very much they are quite home spun.

We think this will be a very good place for us but it is rather hard getting started We need a cow very much it costs us more for milk and butter every week than it would cost to keep a cow. Unless you can assist us to one I do not think we can have one this summer. I hope we shall here from you soon so that we may know on on what to depend. We flatter ourselves you will come and see us. The children would be delighted to have Grand Ma come. Please give my love to all and write soon Yours Truly
