Dear Wife i will take time this morning to ansur your most kind & welcum letter which i resieved the 16 & was glad to hear from you & to hear that you was well as it leaves me at presant Dear honey you say that you ar to work for Mrs Walker & the work is two hard honey if the work is two hard i dont want you to work their or eny other place whar it is two hard i rather you wod board out & do nothing than two work two hard if you in tend two work out get an easy place i know what the work is this i know it is two hard for you & if you wil do as i tel you or as i want you to you wont work out i dont want you two kill your self for the sake of making a little money i rather you wod / spend it than two kill your self a working out if you intend to work out their is places a nuf that aint so hard Mrs Walker is a very fine woman i have no falt to find with hur but hur work is to hard for you honey i now that you will take my advice if it is poor i wish i had taken yours but probly it will be just as well in the end if i get home all right i shal be glad that i enlisted honey what do you think a bout drafting now you say that Cran is a going to set out & go to fort gibson i wish i was their to try & by his place for i all ways liked that place but never mind honey if i ever get home i will have sum kind of a place dont wory i shal be home sum time the war cant always last you say that Margrit Brown has ben eating sum more grapes i hope she will have good luck but she must get a long with out us this time i dont want eny / butter just now i think that alfird is very wise he wont hafto hiar eny help if he keeps on honey i resieved those papers a weak be for i got this letter i got them al after while but sum times they air a long time a cuming that envelop that you sent in your letter it is not my hand riting i know hose riting it is but let it drop i havant rote eny thing that i am a shamed of i had as live eny body wod read eny letters as not but i want them to under stand that i want my Wife to read them first when they ar directed to hur i was glad to hear that you got the money all saft it want mutch but evry little helps Clint Mcdonal rote to his Mother that he sent a watch by James to his Mother that aint so he did not send eny watch by James the young dible dont know what he dos rite half the time their is a grate chance for him to lirn yet & he neads a little education yet 
 
i supose that James & Mag will be in town to day if they cum give my love to them tel them i am wel i shod like to be their with James Doil to day give my love to anna tel hur to wait for i want to go to hur weding tel James to rite whair is frankey now Delia i have got plenty of woling close i shod like 2 factory shirts the wether is very warm hear as soon as i get my pay i will send you my likenis i havent drank but 2 Gils of whiskey since i left new york i hav i take a glas of beer now & then no more at presant give my love to evry body & tel them to rite Keep a good shair for your self from your ever loving husband
