Dear Wife i will take time this morning to right you a few lines to let you know that i am well exsepting sum lame yet i hope that those few lines will find you in good health i resieved your kind & welcum letter the 17 & was glad to hear from you & that you was a going to have a good time at Anna weding i hope you did & i wish them mutch joy & a long & mary life & a plenty of young solgers i hope that anna has dun well i know that Michal has i wish that i cod of ben their but i was a great wais from their if ever i get home i will make up lost time honey what buisnes dos Michal folar & air they a going to hous keeping i rote a letter to Maria the 15 i hope that Maria will move to / Palmyra for you will be mor contentid honey was old Mary to the weding what place was they marid at honey dont forget them factory shirts that i rote to you a bout in my other letter i wish you wod mak me 2 factory shirts & send them to me when James cums back make me 2 new wons & stout wons i dont cair for the buty honey take good cair of my cloths & fiddle the 14th won of our little steam boats went up the river to do sum work & we expect that they are taken prisners their is 30 men of our regmant went 4 out of our company their names ar Gary Marhar, Mecky & John sider & Fred Fadwin let James se this he knows them they hadent eny guns on board but muskets the boat was a little choar boat a round the bay but they mite of known they wod be taken prisners if they went up the river far & such a smal / company the wether is geting very hot hear i hope if their is eny fiting to do they will do it now be for the wether gets eny warmer it is as warm hear now as it is home in July i hope the war will soon be over their is sum talk of peac hear but i dont know whether it will mount to much or not honey right & let me know if you got that 30 dollars that i sent you i sent it by express it ought to be their by this time take good cair of it when you get it i no need to tel you that for i know you will honey i have resieved al of your letters & papers & stamps the last letter i got was from Manchester i rote James a letter the 18 no more at presant
