Madam,

          I am under the painful necessity of informing you that your husband William Hibbard of Co "B" 160 N.Y.Vols. died at  the Hospital the 26^th day of June 1863. His disease was Chronic Diarhea. Enclosed you will find some letters which were found among his effects.
