Plympton, Nov 26th /62

yours of the 14th is received with menney thankes. I fear you have raised hopes in our breasts in regard to our son which are not to be realised. Wee received a letter from him to day dated 20th at falmouth va he sayes he dont know as he will ever get his discharge but must suffer on and die without being of enney servise to his country. if the surgeon has granted his discharge and I new what the formalitys wer I could assist him. I suppose it is to be signed by the Secretary of War.

I see by to days paper that Col Parker is cheaf of gen martindales Staff at Washington but I do not know whether it is col Parker of the 32nd or some other Col Parker

to Col F. J. Parker 32. M.V.M
