Dear Parants              
Once more I am seated to scratch a few lines to you to let you now how I am a gitting along I am well at presant and hope these few lines will find you the same yesterday we worked on a fort and to night we haft to put in abbatees we have moved since the last time I rote you we went up to head quarts and back down hear I and Charley has got a very nice warm comfortable house it has got a fire place in an so on and soforth 
 
now about that pay you spoke about I have lent it to Taylor wat I have not spent I cant think of no more to rite about at presant this is from your son in the army

the 5.18.64 and I will scratch a few lines to go out to night as my letter has ben forgotten from day to day. Charley is out to work in the mine to day we are all well and hope these few lines will find you the same. thare is no news to rite about so I will close for this time
