Dear Parents
Once more I am seated for the porpes of letting you now how I am a gitting along I am well at presant and hope these few lines to let you know ho will find you the same
 
I have made a blot of this sheat you will know I am back to the Company / now you spoke of that you wish that I was a one years man you may wish that I was but I dont I may haft to stay a little longer than they may haft to but I am wiling to I think that Charley will git out before long and the yearlings and then they wont be nothing in the Co but the Old Vets and the sixty / three men you must look out for a short letter for this time this time this from your son in the Army
