Abby West Wright
Abby West Wright was born on November 29, 1836, in Plympton, Massachusetts, to Winslow Wright and Mary Cole. Her father was a farmer who owned $1,500 of real estate and $400 of personal property. She grew up and attended school in Plympton.
 
She married Samuel J. Simmons on November 26, 1863, and their daughter Lillian was born around 1865. They lived in Springfield, Massachusetts, and her husband worked as a carpenter. Her husband died on January 3, 1914, and she secured a widow’s pension soon afterward. She died in Springfield on January 16, 1916.
