Dear Sister
Seeing I feel prety well today I will drop you a fiew lines to inform you that my arm is getting along finely and I think that in the course of a fiew days I will be able to move a little further to the North I am getting able to set up and walk around a little. I got several the other day from the Regment and among them there was one from Miss Hessenger and one from Mr Barker but several from Clara and you / if I felt able I should like to answer them all but I will wait a while until I feel more like writing I understand that John is Nashville with Frank he says that he intends to stay there untill he I get able to come to Nashville I am sorry that he has taken so much trouble on my account I hear that Frank has lost his foot that is rather hard but such is the fortunes of war. I think my self very fortunate to to be getting along without the loss of a limb Give my respects to all the girls and to Mr Barker and Mrs Hill
