Francis J. Parker to Anna L. Parker, 3 November 1862
Bivouac near Snickers Gap Va
Nov 3, 1862
My dear wife
We have resumed our wanderings and so far toward somewhere.
I am well and hearty. Have received the shirt sent by mail. Thanks.
It is a trifle cold toward morning up on these mountains.
This is a bivouac epistle—and short as it is—I squeeze out the opportunity to write it
Affy Yours
Frans J Parker
