Rebecca Tarres
Rebecca Tarres was born around 1840 in Ohio to William Tarres and Jane Smith. Her father was a Scottish immigrant who earned a living as a farmer, and by 1850, he owned $350 of real estate. She grew up and attended school in Richland County, Ohio, and on November 25, 1869, she married James Henderson, a physician who was about 40 years older. They lived in Worthington, Ohio, and they apparently had no children. Her husband died in 1889, and she eventually settled in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She died there on July 25, 1912.
