Beecher Mott was born around 1864 in Pennsylvania to Henry Mott. By 1880, he and his brother Wilber were living with their aunt Laura Wilson in Richmond, Pennsylvania. He attended school in Edinboro, Pennsylvania. He married Caroline Root around 1888, and their daughter Gladys was born around 1896. By 1900, they were living in Foster, Pennsylvania, and he was working as a laborer on an oil well.
They moved to Duke Center, Pennsylvania, in the early 1900s, and then Bradford, Pennsylvania, in the 1910s. By 1930, they were living in a house valued at $15,000. By the 1930s, they were dividing their time between Bradford and St. Petersburg, Florida. Her wife died in September 1934 when Mott crashed their car into a pole. He married Elsie Ferguson in Florida on January 23, 1936. She probably died by the early 1940s, and he married Mary A. Shoenbach on September 10, 1945. Mott died in St. Petersburg on February 4, 1946.
