Nancy V. Daniel (maiden name: Snoddy) was born on December 27, 1820, South Carolina. She married Andrew Jackson Daniel, and they had at least seven children: Louisa, born around 1839; Robert, born around 1840; John, born around 1842; Richard, born around 1844; Andrew, born around 1852; Edward, born around 1855; and Samuel, born around 1860.
They lived in Spartanburg District, South Carolina, and her husband worked as a farmer. By 1850, they owned $9,000 of real estate. A decade later, they owned $23,000 of real estate and $37,000 of personal property, including at least 37 enslaved laborers. During the Civil War, she supported the Spartanburg Soldiers Aid and Relief Association. By 1870, the family owned $2,000 of real estate and $650 of personal property. Her husband died sometime in the 1870s. By 1880, she was living in Fairforest, South Carolina, with her sons Edgar and Samuel. She died sometime in the 1890s.
