Ransom Fuller was born around 1819 in Pennsylvania. He married a woman named Abigail, and they had at least five children: Jonas, born around 1843; Jane, born around 1849; Cyrus, born around 1855; Ellen, born around 1861; and Alice, born around 1864. They lived in Springhill, Pennsylvania, and Fuller worked as a farmer. By 1850, he owned $500 of real estate. The family moved to Wyalusing, Pennsylvania, in the 1850s, and by 1860, he owned $1,300 of real estate and $627 of personal property. A decade later, his wealth had grown to $4,000 of real estate and $915 of personal property. His wife probably died in the 1870s, and he married Amy B. Biles on October 12, 1878. He died in December 1886.
