Dear. Farther. and. mother. I seat my selfh this plesant sunday moning to righ you a fue lines to lett know that my helth is impoving with the exceptions of my back that ant eney better. I hope this will find you and the rest of the famley well and all of the nabors I should like to up there to day. but as I am here I am happy to have the privlage of righting to you and to lett you how I geting a long there has ben a good deal of excitement here sence you was here with the small pox. there thase ben a fue cases of it here there was/thursday taken in Ward 13 Edwards says there wont be eney more discharges for four or five weaks so I dont now when I shall get an examenation I have ben reported every morning for a month for examenation I hope they will give it to me or send me to the regment I have ben here as long as want to stay but exspect to have to wate there motion. I had a letter from Jonathon whitch I will send I should like to see him very much and the rest of the boys from bartlett well farther I want you to look af ter that debt over to Russels before it gets late to draw Clabbords if you can dispose of them for eny thing that you want and there one thing more that I want you to do for me that is/see Eastman or some other Lawyer that can do the business or right to me whot I must do before it gets to late for the spring corts To patision for bill divoce a ganst Elis a ganst Elizabeth not being much of Lawyer my selfh I use some cures frazis but every one have to learn before they can read and I think by the time I get out of the serves and a bill I can read A B if I dont now the rest Well farther I want you to tend to this the first opertunity I want you to right to me and lett me now if there is for you to sell the plase ar not I have thought some a bout the talk we had in regard to the rnstick and that plase up to Lancester I think if it is as good as recmended that/I should reather go there then to go to the Renstick for it cost so mutch to go there and for our famley to you wood have to throw a way so meney things ar the same they would not sell for mutch that you wood nead if sold them you wood have to buy a gain but you can do as you like I shant stay there long if I come home
well Willes how do you get a long sence you gut home
I should lik to be up ther this spring in shugern time but dont now as I shall I dont think of eney thing more this time right as soon as you get this right the news so good by for this time from your sone Joseph Mead
