Cyrus Works
Cyrus Works was born around 1810 in Maine. He married Rebecca Smith on February 23, 1840, and they had at least six children: Elias, born around 1841; Belinda, born around 1842; Sarah, born around 1844; Edward, born around 1848; Eldora, born around 1848; and Charles, born on October 9, 1848. They lived in New Sharon, Maine, and Works earned a living as a farmer. His wife died in the early 1850s, and he married a woman named Fanny. Their daughter Fanny was born around 1854. By 1860, he owned $800 of real estate and $250 of personal property. A decade later, the value of his personal property had risen to $400. He died on November 10, 1889.
