it is with a heavy hart I pen to you these few lines. I have not had any leter from Thates but cyrus stuart had a letter from Sarah Stateing that the Children wer sick and that poor Ella had left us nev poor Child is Mary Eliza very sick be sure and write me all the particulars and let me know the worst because if you are all sick I shall try and come home. Mother do not work hard have some one or more to help you let it cost what it may do not get every thing you or they need/and I will see it payed. Have some one write as soon as you get this without Fail let me know the worst and then that will help me get home if I shold w wish to come and if I do not come I will send and get some money to send you and if I come I will bring it myself. Now Mother be sure and not work to hard. you have a letter rote tell me how many of the children is sick and how sick and if you are sick I want to know the hole becaus I shall come home and that wil help me say in your letter that you want me to come home becaus if you are sick and the children I shall come if I have to run a way/
 
poor Ella. it is not long since I had a letter from the litle sister. but Gods Will be done and does all things for the best but the loss of I our dear ones we feel and cannot help moaning their loss Mother I will close this write as soon as you get this becaus I cannot come home until I have a letter from you to show you are sick at home and want I shold come and I know you nead me and O Mother I must come do not say you do not
