How are you old gall and Little children I am in fiting trim Health was never better and hope those few lines will find you Injoying the besing Grover and Crowley left for home the 7 day and will be at home about 10 of nex month Grover will be up to Farther beefore he comse back I wont you to send me 1 pint camphor 1 pint peppermint essence 6 bottles Painkiller 2 pints of fifty persent Rum 2 pairs socks a little of ball of yarn A box of our salve 1/2 lbs sulpher 1/4 lbs creamtarter and have it reddy when grover come up have them reddy to farther he is going to fetch tell the children to mind you mother And be good children and go to Chool the year round I think of you all/

as Aram has left a place for me to write I will pen a few words Well how do you do and all of the rest of the folks how is the health of the people in mountholly now Aram and my self has been very smart so far I have got the rheumatism a little but I hope they wont last long tell old Baker to be a good boy till I come home & the girls to try to learn all they can I supose Aram has wrote all of the news of interest What is Hull & Hannah doing & all off the rest of the folks do you know if Wm. has got my papers or not yet I hope to get home short of my three years but do not much expect to how does old bin and anna get a long do they get a long any better now I am gone than when I was at home have you heard from father since/ I come down here I should like to hear from him but I shall not write to them till some of them answer the letters I wrote While I was at home if I am not worthy of notice I shall not stoop for any one of my pretended friends I can not think of much to write this time I want you to write all of the news and all of the particulars and oblige your brother and friends solon & Eleasar grover is coming home on a furlow and Aram and my self has written to his father for each a pair of boots and I some expect some things sent to me and I have the things marked and fill the boots, no cakes or any thing that will not keep for it may be a good while coming I supose Aram has sent for all he wants have his and mine put in a box by together and they will come strait when grover comes back please excuse me for this time and write soon from Lawson E Barber
