Dear Father & Mother
I take my pen in hand once more to let you know how I am getting a long I am well & hope these few lines will find you the same we got there here to the Divsion last night they wear glad to have us get back again the third Brigade of our Divsion stood in line & we marched in front of them & thear band played
our conscrips wear with them & our Capting we got to Alexrendria last Thursday we started a way from thear last Satarday we got here last night we marched a bout 70 miles / we came by the 10 Vt Regt we saw all the boys I saw Osker Gossett he said Albert was sick I saw Lieut Pearcin he knew me & Dalbert Hill & Eric Abbott of Weston the army has Advanced lateley a bout to Gordensvill when we got here we found that the armey was under marching orders with 8 days ration we have had orders for ours this moring morning we have got to be 9 months men now the time will soon pass a way & we go Home a gane we ar haveing very fine weather now rather cool night though
a few of the conscrips came over to see us last night I saw Alvin Chapman our Capting come a round & shook hands with us all & was glad to see us & so was John Pollard the same they have been rather Homesick here alone / they wish they had stayed & gorn with us it is pleasant & warm this morning
I cannot think of much more to write this time I sopose you have received my minature before this time have you not write soon as you get this letter & all the news you can think of
