Caroline C. Haven (maiden name: Childs) was born in Massachusetts around 1822. She married Parker A. Haven in Mendon, Massachusetts, on August 20, 1839, and they had at least three children: Lowell, born around 1843; Horace, born around 1843; and Ransom, born around 1846. In 1840, the couple may have been living in Uxbridge, Massachusetts, and they moved to Woonsocket, Rhode Island, soon afterward.
By 1860, they were living in Ludlow, Vermont. Her husband worked as a farmer, and by 1860, they owned $800 of real estate and $400 of personal property. A decade later, they owned $1,000 of real estate and $650 of personal property. She fell ill in 1872, and she died at 6am on December 2, 1872. Her husband died at 8pm that same day.
