Eliza, Mary, A.D. and Frank I write A few lines that to inform you that I got a letter tonight I was glad to hear from you all I hope you will enjoy good health till I reach home if I dont I have superb everything but health but have good courage yet my Cough is bad yet they hopes come rase my eys is pretty yelow yet I drink three glases of strong Beer every Day that help me it cost high tenn cents A glass I dont car for that if it will help me I cant write mutch to night
the elder is a wating for it. he haves charge of the mail you must all do as well as you can that is all I can say to you & one thing I have suferd But never complained to no won Briger dear gineril wirtzal Brigade Head Quarters is hear now we Dont know how long we shall stay here we have a large army hear now one company of caverly tha think we shall stay hear till the war closes I will write soon you must write soon you must write every week from
