I take my pen in hand to let you know that we are all well at present and hope those fiew lines will find yow injoyeing the same I have not heard from Riley for A long time I doant know why he dont wright to me any more I want you to wright and let me know all about things in jeneral How you get along and if Henry is with you or not if he is thear tell him I have his Money he road for hom aney time if wantes me to send it to him / in a letter I will do so it is goverment money Ask him if he wants me to do Aneything with his hay it is worth [?] dolars per ton her and per haps more thear But I doant think it best for him to come up hear for it While yet if it was good roads it would pay to take it to [?]esville it is to high to buy stalk to feed it to for to pay so tell me what James Willson is doing and how Mother and Sarah is I wish some of you would come up We got all ready to go to see you since Riley inlisted but it stormed and we did not get down / and now I have got a pair of Coalts and it would tak so long Hattie thinkes she cant stay like [?] & she would not go to your house for 3 howrs like that
