                                                                                                                        Dear wife and children I am thankful for one more privladge of informming you that I am wall at presant I hav ben sick. I had the janders verry bad I hav got a bout red of tham. I recev your most wellcom letter. 23 was happy to lern that you all was as war I was glad to lern that some of my monney went home saft I wood like to hear from the other note tha I sent home I think that I will send some home by Chancey Hays when he goes home /
 
Lovicy I am willing that the children shod go to school if tha want to go on perpas to lern and be good children. ho teaches the school if tha go rite more of the perticklers Can you spare tham to go to school

I am glad that Homes got no more of that paster then he did Is thare much feed in that lot of slashing in on that pees that I bout of water Homes Has James burnt enney of the breush Has Sophiah ben notifide of wash kelley deth by his cormanding ofesier. How dos Sophiah seem to take his deth Has Bill hadock come home yet Do you hav all of the corn fodder or dos Square hav part of it Hav you a good menney apples and peaches this fall
 
Lovicy you seaid in your last letter that you wood like to hav me come home on a feurlow this fall I wood like to come home and stay to at home the rest of my time I think it rather dout ful about afeurlow I think that we will / stay our three years out and then the war will not be over with

I am glad that you think anouf of your farther to rite afew lines to me you will not lose enney thing by riting to me. o I wood lik to see your frenley fases once more I treust that I may see you all About one year more then you may lock for me at home if thare is no preventing provedence I am on my last year
