Dear beloved Mother it is the greatest of pleasure that I take my seate to rite you a few lines in answer to youer welcom letter that I recived this morning I was truly glad to here from you I am well at present and hope when this letter comes to youer hand it may fiend you in good helth well Mother my advise to you conserning old man longs will is not to trobel youer self about it if John wants to pitch en let him go a head but you can do as you please but as long I am abel to help you you shant suffer if you never ge any of the old mans mony /
times is so unserton now dayes and Death is so serten that money is not worth fussing about well Mother all the men is orderd front to thear Regments and I have to go to we are wating for passage on the cares me and thomas yarbrough started ouer over Coates home the 29 of febuary the box has Billeyes name and mine on it tomes coat and Blanket has his name on them he wantes Billey to keep the thinges thare at the house untell furder orders the box is expressed to Jeffersonville the freaght is pade I rote a Letter yesterday to Billey and sent the recete for the box in it /
well Mother I will Close by requesting you to keep youer sperites up and trust in God for my safe deliverance home
