My Dear brother and sister I take the present opportunity to write you afew lines in answer to your letter I received your letter yesterday and was glad to hear that you was all well we are all well at this time hoping when thees few lines comes to hand they may find you all rite side up well will and sarah you must excuse me fornot riting to you sooner I hav neglect it to long that is so well I havent any thing to rite but I will try to rite something before I quit I hav never heard any thing from out thair since we but twice since we left sarah rits that curtus is maried. tell him that I wish him muh Joy and a good old happy life to inJoy tell all the folks that I would like to see them all well will I must tell you we hav but little cold wether here yet it has been very warm for the time ayear to day it is pretty cold / well bill I expect to go to will hubbards to morrow if it isent to cold to take that letter to him they was all well at new years day you told me the pices of things out their well I must tell you the prices her so far as I know hogs no sale at all wheat is worth 55 to 60 corn i worth 20 cents per bushel oats 15 Coffee is selling 25 cents apound sugar 15 cents factory 20 cents ayard calico 15 cents a hard times is coming fast on the poor well will you wanted to know whether the state leigens was at home yet they are not gone yet will cauble is gone to Clark county to work at his trade well bill I must tell you that I saw nine hundred soldiers in salem on the 14 of December redy for service eleven hundred past threw fedricsburg last wek well I must tell you my bad luck since I came home I lost a theree year old heifer and old kit is gon blind well I must quit tell sid that I forgot to talk to him to see him shake his fat sids so nothing more at present only to reman yours Solomon Naugle and M E Naugle to william Forder
