Dear children I set down this morning to To drop you A few lines in Answer to your verry kind leterer and to let you no we are all well At present Hopeing when these few lines come To hand tha may find you all well and doing Well I have not bin Abel to worke for Severl days I have A carbunkel on my left Brest whitch is verry soar tho I hope will Soon be bether..I hardley no what to rite I will tel you something A bout the cropes in this parte of the cuntrey wheete was Thin on the ground but was well fild the Grain is large in some plases wheete was Hevy thare will be ten thousand bushels More wheete rasd in this county then thare Was last season wheet is worth 40 cents per Bushel corn looks well if we have rain next Month we will have good cropes thar was No lo oatt oats rasd hear the rust Ruend it early in the season Health is good Hear now the weather is verry warm hear Now Robert Forder is going to starte to the Arma frida the first day of next month He will go to Indinoples I no not how long he Will stay thare /
 
In Reading you leter I find that you Are not comeing this fall you may suppose We feel verry mutch disapointed after Makeing all calculations of seeing you hear Soon you say you will come nixt winter when That time comes then you will find some thing To do and say you will come some other time Now come rite Along this fall make No further excuse About it then I will Tel you About going with you to newbraske Now I want you to rite as soon as this comes to Hand and tel me you are comeing and when You will be hear We have A fine swete potatoe Pach large Anuf to eat now we want you to come And help us to eat theme I am now done for this time Give our respects to all the friens
