Dear Family I thought I would write a few lines to you to day well I am in camp we got in about eleven oclock yesterday and marcht to our quarters we have 3 shantyes for a Company 32 in a hous we drawd rashions for three meals fat poark Bread coffee shugar rice salt soap candles we have Frank Johnson and John Homes for cook I have been at work all morning fixing up our quarters there is some would rather look on than work 
 
Frank and I bunk to gether Our quarters ar fild with Bucyrus Boyes
 
3 more Companyes came in last evening there is 11 Companyes came in in Camp now I slept verry well last night we got a blanket each man the blankets are verry good well I have just been out on squad drill now we will finish writing we have stray in our bunks well if any of our folks come out here they can have plenty of grub 
 
If any of them comes send a towl a small one that is all that want that at present I think camp life will go verry well some of the Boyes went for water but last evening but the pump had hair on and horns that did not spoil the coffee our company is not got the letter yet But you can send to Cap Mc donald I will send the directions as soon as I can I am all O K
