Mary L. Rouse
Mary Rouse (maiden name: Loomis) was born around 1833 in Vermont. Her father was  Solomon Loomis, a Vermont farmer who owned $500 of real estate and $200 of personal property in 1860. She married George W. Rouse in Hartland, New York, on November 30, 1854, and their daughter Idea was born on May 6, 1858. The family moved to Wyocena, Wisconsin, in the late 1850s, and Rouse reported owning $150 of personal property in 1860. Rouse served in the Union army during the Civil War, and he died in the Battle of Chickamauga on September 19, 1863.
 
Mary married farmer David Palmer sometime in the 1860s. In 1870, he owned $3,000 of real estate and $760 of personal property in Columbia County, Wisconsin. She applied for a federal pension on December 19, 1916, but it is unclear if she received one. She died sometime after 1916.
