Dear Family again I will write a few lines as I have nothing else to do today perhaps you would like to kno where I am and what I am doing we are campt on a hill top at Ooltawauth Station on the Railroad to Knoxville we are guarding the road as it is repaired the cars run up to Cleveland 15 miles above here we have been here 2 days that is about as long as we stay at one place there is one regiment out every day scouting to clear the cuntry of any bands that may be lurking around our turn will come soon again I am not fond of them jobs they are hard so much marching some of our Company is out on picket and I feel some lonsom and a little mad / today we are to get paid 2 months pay soon they are makeing out payroals now I have been examining the Books I finde 81 Dollars against me I dispute a part of the account I believe there is things charged to me I never got there is neither month date or article put down on old Cap Mc s account I told Lieutenant I never will receit for them our Lieutenants account is all right but I will have all to pay and if Mack can settle with government without my receit he may I wont have only 15 Dollars to get this time and you kno I borrowed 10 of Lieutenant to come home then my transportation is to come out so I wont have but little enough for tobacco paper that is all I want now so I wont be bothered sending any home / but after this time I can help you for I wont knead any clothes for some time and after pay I think I can sell that fancy shirt
well I dont kno whether you get my letters or not I dont get any now or any of us we have had no mail for 6 or 7 days I expect we will not get our mail regular until this line is fully opened through
I wrote a letter to Thomas one to DH and one to DC Boyer with this I will close and write soon again no more but remain
