Dear Wife and Children
this morning I purpose writeing another time to you to inform you that I am well and hope you are all right side up well I received your letter and Jake Shearmans and a journal all last night so this morning I will answer them boath night before last I got one from Jef that I answered yesterday well we are still campt on this hill a verry nice place I dont see any sines of leaving just now the other 2 Brigades of our Division are out in front I believe the Ball is about opined once more our army has advanced again there has been a sharp fight I cant get the particulars yet there is many different storyes / it is said General Parmer has fell back 6 miles that is only about 5 from us his fall back was to give our Cavelry time to get in the rear of them and for General Cruft to form a junction this will form a line entire around the rebs last night there was a report that there was a dispatch sent down to Chattanooga to prepair to receive 15 thousand prisoners if that is so they have bagd the rebel Army but I think that is too good for to be true so I wont believe it until I hear more of it
well today it is raining but we are tolerable well fixed Saturday I built a chimney and fixed our shanty so now we are ready to leave now we have had nice weather now for some time the people around here have been makeing gardin last week and week before / it appears my letters go through so do yours. yours came last time in 5 days I think I will risk a little money in this then wait if I hear from it I will send again I suppose you had not got that large ring yet when you wrote you got them little letters I thought they would be something for the little girls to talk about anyhow I will send some orders for jewelry I had sent in for a bait to act agent you can se what they call for if you want to risk $1.15 to send the directions are on them there are 2 or 3 different establishments you can have them sent in your name or George or any ones I dont want to bother with them
I see by the Journal Bucyrus Township has 60 men to draft I wish it had 6 hundread I want them all out then some one to burn the town / I am at work to get up a letter to the Journal we are agoing to send a donation to the Vallandigham fund with an address to send to the forum it consists of some cartrages and a hangman roap we intend sending a copy to Robison to have it printed as I fear the forum man wont print it Dont say anything about it if it comes out in the Journal you may kno who to blame one of Co E boys got up one but I did not like it so I am going to get our Lieut to correct it and put it in the right grammer stile as I cant do that well I will close this hopeing and believeing that I shall get home by fall no more and remain
