Dear father
I take the opertunity to write a fue lions to yo to let yo now that iam well and hope you are the same whe left Harsburge on last thursday and ar in nashvill tensee we had along ride of it whe com on the railroad all the way Whe are in baricks but expect to go to camp this after noon Them boys that was at home havent come here yet I would of sent a telegraph to them but whe dident now it till the redgment was redy to starte and there it was to late to go down whe have the big est regment that / ever left pencel vania Our regment has ninteen hundred in and all gay boys fore whend they make a charge they make the rebs gump the seventh has the best name of eny regment in the feald and they will have a beter name after they are through I have went through fore staits now and and a nicer cuntries I never sean it is nearly all level not meny hills I hafto bring my scrbling to aclose Excuse poor writing and bad spelling
