Edward L. Beck
Edward L. Beck was born around 1845 in Pennsylvania to Charles and Mary Beck. His father was a plasterer who owned $1,000 of real estate and $100 of personal property by 1860. Beck grew up and attended school in Sunbury, Pennsylvania. He enlisted in the Union army on February 22, 1864, and he mustered in as a corporal in Company M of the 7th Pennsylvania Cavalry the following day. The regiment took part in the Atlanta campaign, and he died near Dallas, Georgia, on May 27, 1864.
