                        well i do not get any letter yet what can be the matter…i am well hopeing these lines may find you the same i am uneasy and troubled on acount of not hearing from home i hope all is well i know it is not not so verry long since i herd from you but i looking for a letter oftener and was so shure of geting one i expect that may be the reason that i feel so disapointed i know that we did not get word from each other for a long time some time a go but that was owing to our communication being cut off. there was 51 discharges sent off today to be approved i dont know whenther mine went or not. well as i have no stamps i will have to send this with out a stamp how are you geting a long is your money all used up i wish i could send you some but i have not been paid for a long time 
 
it is geting dark and i will have to stop writeing and finish in the morning.

well i will finish this letter this morning i wish i would get a letter from home my eyes are verry sore and painful but i hope they will get better soon i have quit nersing
 
Now Ruth pleas dont get discouraged for i will come home as soon as i posibly can, and i dont think it will be long, no for they have to discharge all that is hear soon. O i want to see you all so bad, let me get home once more and i think i will stay there the remainder of my life yes what place is like home. O children dear, be of good cheer your farther soon will come home, yours forever
