Dear wife and children
i hapyly received your kind letter last eavening the one that had the sweet rose leaves in it. i tryed salt and watter when my eyes ware first affected and it did not do any good but i will try it again it wont do them any harm maby i think they are geting better now i cant see much better but i can bare the light better and they are less painful i expect Phys turtle was good but we have lots of big cat fish that is catched hear in the Mississipi river and lots of other kinds but if i was at home they mite / have all the fish and the rats hash and bedbugs i killed more than 5 hundred bed bugs on my bed sted the other day some nights they have skirmish drill and dress peraid all over me and keep me awake all night maby we will move to another building soon maby it will not be so full of bugs and rats they say that we will be payed of soon Now Ruth pleas dont get clear out of pacients and discouraged waiting for my return for i will come as soon as i can yes i will i know it seams hard to wait so long O may the time soon come when we can injoy each others company yes and never never untill death seperate
