Camp near Fredricksburg,
Dear Mother,
I am well & about to move again but where I cannot say. Franklin left here this morning for Washington with the rest of the sick he is quite smart. so that he walked to the Depot He has not got his furlow yet but expects it every day. as soon as it comes here it will be forwarded to him immy. As soon as I learn what Hospital he is at I shall let you know. I think we are about to move towards Washington again but do not know. As soon as we stop, I will write again. Give my love to all the friends & write soon I have not herod from him for a week or more. Tell Juliette that Franklin is all right & is gaining as fast as could be expected & will start for home immy – on the receipt of his furlow. Love to all & I remain your affectinate son
