Dear Father:
Your last was duly received—Examination and many other things which are extra and incident to the close of a term do not give me much spare time just now. I steal a few moments to write and let you know that I am well & prosperous. I was very thankful for the letters of Frank & Lucy you sent. The Arms family seem to supply a good part of its matter to the Bulletin. Has William come? Not knowing in what vessel he sailed, I could not tell by the arrivals. Mr. Oaks called on me / the other day and reported all well. I forgot to say in my last that the Atlantic arrived, and to thank you & Sallie for it. As I look back on the term that is closing, although I am by no means satisfied with it, yet I think I have got a good start, and laid the foundation for increasing studiousness & regularity in duty. I think my taste for study has improved much, and hope to do very much better next term—I shall be home one week from next Tuesday or Wed. Junior Exhibition comes off next Wed. Six weeks from the beginning of next term, the Seniors will leave and '63 will be the oldest class in College. How strange! I will send my bills in my next. With much love to all,

Your aff son Chas. J. Arms
