Harriet Hoar
Harriet Hoar (maiden name: Mason) was born on October 15, 1821, in New York. She married George Hoar, and they had at least six children: Alice, born around 1849; Mary, born around 1851; William, born around 1853; Sarah, born around 1856; Amelia, born around 1858; and Harriet, born around 1861. They lived in Rochester, New York, and her husband worked as a ship carpenter. By 1850, they owned $400 of real estate. They moved to Ellenville, New York, by the early 1860s, and by 1860, they owned $6,000 of real estate and $4,000 of personal property. Her husband died in 1900. By 1915, she was living at the State Homeopathic Hospital in Middletown, New York. She died on December 17, 1915.
