Dear Brother it is with pleasure that I sit down once more to let you know that I am well at present and hope these few lines will find you the same I received your letter a day or to ago and was glad to here that you was well at present times is very dull here now we have to drill on double quick time very nere all the foornoon every day we can git out twice a week in the evening to go to the / theater or reading room or to Church
 
I go out most every time but I do not go to eather one I hafto go and see the hansom girls
 
I am sending home a that got a big battle in it if you want to see it you must send and and git it this is all from L B to P E B

Dear Cousin Warren
I take my pen in hand to let you know that I am well at present and hope these few lines will find you the same Charles Tubs is well he sends his best / respect to all of you I would like to see all of you but I do not expect to see you rite off again I do not expect to ever see a battle tell all of the girls there that I send my best respect to them all what is Olive Burk a doing this winter is she well it is very pleasant weather here now I am going down to the city to morrow evening to see dutch Mary or fany one for fany has gone away there was a woman girl come from st joseph here and married one of our seargant here in the Co B from L Brant to W B
