My Dear Sister
I take the greatest pleasure in writing you a fiew lines in answer to yours of Janry the 16th which I received some time ago I was glad to hear that you was all well this leaves me well & harty Nancy is well I left there on wednesday morning last I am at Uncle Wm Bemys to day tha ar all well I received a letter not long since from Brother Thos he was stationed at Cypress City 25 miles above houston on the rail road he was well & harty & was injoying his self finely I have nothing strange or interesting to write you the worst news I have is that I am ordered back in to Camp I will start on Monday morning next I am verry sorrow that I cant come up to see you before I start away but it is out of my power to come up
I was verry sorrow to hear that Abner was ordered back to little Rock on the account of his bad health but I think verry like he will be discharged from service on the account of his health I am verry sorrow that I have to go back I would have bin glad if I had never bin exchanged Nancy Robertson sends her best respects to you & the rest of the family Cosin Eliza also sends her respects you give my best respects Jas Loden & Family & all other inquireing friends & you must write as soon as you can I will write to you as soon as I git out to Camp so nothing more at present but affectionate Brother untill death
