Mary F. Boreman (maiden name: Ferguson) was born on August 26, 1842, in Ohio to Nathanial and Caroline Ferguson. She married Jacob Smith Boreman on September 4, 1866, in Jackson County, Missouri. Together they had five children: Gilbert F., born around 1867 in Missouri; Kenner S., born around 1869 in Missouri; Clara, born around 1874 in Beaver, Utah; Ralph Ingram, born and died in 1877, likely in Utah; and Beatrice, born around 1880 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She did not receive a pension following her husband’s death in Ogden, Utah, in 1913. She died in Ogden on January 7, 1917, and is buried in the Mount Olive Cemetery in Salt Lake City with her husband and their son Ralph.
